Torre Ca’ Bianca is the fruit of the commitment and experience of Alessandro Fedrizzi, who, as a young winemaker, created a reality that today is a point of reference for the wines of the Colli Bolognesi.
Torre Ca’ Bianca, located under the walls of Castello di Serravalle, now has more than 25 hectares of vines cultivated with respect for tradition and the environment.
The wines reflect the craftsmanship, commitment and desire to grow that distinguish Alessandro and his young team. From a small business, today Alessandro’s wines are appreciated within the walls of Bologna and far beyond the borders of the Colli Bolognesi.
We at Torre Ca’ Bianca pursue an ecological and sustainable approach to viticulture, inherited from Alessandro Fedrizzi’s experience and shared with our partners. In the vineyards we work by favoring natural management, limiting chemical treatments to a minimum and choosing cultivation methods that respect the environment and biodiversity.
Our daily commitment to sustainability translates into agricultural and winemaking practices designed to reduce our impact on the land: organic composting, careful soil care and responsible water management in the vineyard and cellar. These are choices that tell our vision and guide every step of our work.
Our white grapes are harvested following a precise order, the result of experience and constant observation of the vineyards. Each parcel has a role and character, and from Castello di Serravalle come some of our most significant expressions, thanks to a natural balance between exposure, altitude and old varieties that hold memory and potential.
Even in the reds we always look for an immediate, fresh drink, respectful of the grape variety and the fruit, while some more structured selections allow us to explore new, deep and complex interpretations, designed for those who like wines with body and long evolution.
We cultivate just under four hectares in Castello di Serravalle: a compact core of historic vineyards-including Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pignoletto and local grapes-that surround the medieval village and lead naturally to the winery.
